Kent Duvall won a reality TV game show, Endure, 13 years ago, and would like nothing better than to have some of that fame back. When he is caught having an affair at a charity signing event, he gets his chance. He gets cast on a new reality show, Escape, and the woman, Ashley, that he cheated with, is also cast on the show. They just have to survive and escape the wild. Beck Bermann is the producer on the show, having suffered some scandals herself, and she pushes for the contestants to follow the scripted situations, but they have their own ideas. As the filming gets underway, cliques are formed, players do what they want, they have to survive on barely any food, moonsoons, and conflicts with each other. Just who will survive this and make it out in one piece? The novel is written by Stephen Fishbach, who was on Survivor for two seasons, so h lknows about what he writes. This is a fun, delicious look at the filming of a reality show, from someone who knows and bulids to a twist you don’t see coming.
