Formula 1 racing is the setting for this adorable rom-com from author Lizzy Dent. Chloe Coleman has become one of the first women to be put in charge of a team, working for Arden Racing, who need to improve their team in the league. At the press conference to announce her, she gets quite the shock, the team has signed racing sensation, Matt Warner, who was involved in a serious wreck, hurting his best friend, and it has haunted him ever since. On top of that, Chloe and Matt go back a long way; they grew up together, and Chloe had a crush on him. Blindsided by this, they both have to find a way to work with each other, with a hot sexual tension between them, and Matt’s struggles with himself. We learn about their history via flashbacks, and when they finally cross the line sexually, they need to keep it quiet, as it wouldn’t look right to the public. As Matt comes to terms with his demons, the two grow closer, until a reporter writes a story that could blow them apart. This is a fun book, with a great setting in the racing world, and watching these two grow closer is a joy. A good start to the 2026 romance novel year.
