Christmas is fast approaching in Sea Isle, Scotland, and Dr. Emilia McRoy has been told to take time off from her job as the local doctor and coroner. As part of the celebrations, the UK band Bram and the Stokers have been booked to play at her friend Mara’s pub, they are a very popular band. Em is having fun at the show and dancing with Bram, she notices that there’s some tension with Ewan, the local constable. The next day Bram is found dead on the beach, and Em needs to get into coroner mode and figure out what happened to him, and finds he was murdered. She then helps investigate his death, another person is murdered and Ewan is attacked and someone seems to be after Em. When she finally figures out who the murderer is it might be too late for her. This is the third book in the series, and it’s another good one. This is a fun small-town series, with fun, quirky characters, and easy-to-read stories. Fans of the first two will enjoy this new one.
