Ten years ago, Lila Devlin was a Hollywood star. She got married to Devlin, another star, and they had a baby girl, Josie, who was kidnapped and later found dead. This drove her over the edge, her marriage ended, and she was never the same again. Now, 10 yers later, she’s back and has a skincare line she’s ready to launch, and she teams up with Sylive, a publicist, who has her own checkered past in the business. The line becomes successful, and everything should be going fine with her, but it’s not. Lila snaps and decides to get even with those she feels wronged her, and starts killing those people, and uses a secret ingredient in her skincare from the people she kills, which it over the top in sales. Sylvie is along for the ride, and the murder streek continues, until something drives Lila over the edge, and there may be no coming back from it, and the novel ends with a shocking twist. This is a fun, gory, twisty psychological thriller that starts off fast, and never lets up. A great debut novel.
