Columbia Jones is a best-selling author, who just released her 20th novel, sold the movie rights and is on a month-long tour. Along with her are her daughter Darian and Riley Carrington, a reporter, who has been hired to come on the tour and write a feature on Columbia. On the last night in Denver, a man is spotted in the crowd, Columbia faints, is rushed to the hospital and then returns to her hotel. The next morning, Riley finds her dead in her bed. It’s a shock to everyone, the police have very little to go on, the cameras were all shut down, and Darian and Riley return to New York. They each start their own investigations into Columbia and a number of people have gotten an invitation to a reading of her will. As they dig, the find shocking secrets and someone doesn’t want them getting too close, and is killing people to try and get what they need. It leads to a dramatic showdown and reveal of all the secrets. Author Ellison knows how to write psychological thrillers. This is another great one, in a long line of great novels. It has some many twists and turns, that you will not want to put it down. It’s a real page-turner.
