Sanaa Karrem is a teacher, is engaged to her police detective boyfriend, Marcus Morelli, and is keeping a big secret; she is the daughter of the notorious Ferryman killer, who vanished in 2007, when she killed him. Things are going okay in her life now, until a series of murders takes place, and the thought is the Ferryman has come back, or it’s a copycat killer. When Sanaa gets weird messages, she wonders who the killer could be, and is feeling guilty for not telling Marcus about her past. When more people are killed or go missing, Marcus finally learns the truth, and it puts a strain on their relationship. When he finally figures out who the killer is, he goes to confront the person, finds his life in danger, and Sanaa also figures it out, and it leads to a climactic showdown. This is a really good serial-killer novel. It starts off strong and never lets up. This is one you will not want to put down.
