June Wells teaches human sexuality at Barrett University and is on track to make tenure this year. She is shocked when she runs into Alex Cardoso, and is forced to work with him. He was once a good friend of her brother’s, and she had a crush on him and wanted him to be her first, which never happened. Now they are forced to work with each other, and a strong attraction forms, and they soon act on it. He is up for a job in Atlanta with the CDC, and if he gets it, they’re not sure what will happen to their new relationship. When he gets the job, she hears about it from someone else, and she’s mad about him not telling her, and missing a big sex event they have planned at school. On top of that, her mother finds out what she is teaching, she thought June taught nutrition, and it causes a family riff. When June gets an offer she cannot resist, it could mean she and Alex can be together after all. This is a fun, sexy rom-com with two characters you enjoy and want to be together. It has some steamy scenes and a good group of supporting characters. A solid debut novel from author Curry.
