Dalton University is the setting for this love story between two people, Kian, who is struggling years later with the loss of his father, and his mother, who has alzheimer’s, and Scarlett, who wants to try and reconnect with her jailbird father. Kian is a star hockey player who has already been signed to an NHL team. He wants to finish his college career, and asks Scarlett to help tutor him. She says no at first, but soon agrees after he said he would help her with her image at school. They soon become best friends and help each other with their personal demons. They have hot sex and fall for each other, but Scarlett is scared of a relationship. Things get worse when Scarlett’s father, who happens to be Kian’s hockey coach, finds them together. Now, they have to figure out where they go from here. A good friends-to-lovers romance, with two people who need each other but don’t know it. The chemistry between the two is off the charts, and this is a good summer beach read.
