Beck Island in the Caribbean is a private resort, Sueños, for the rich and famous, and only is known by word of mouth. It was once owned by actress Mara Morgan and her husband, Alan, who both died in a fire. On the island now is Paige Foster, who is married to one of the members of the legal team and struggling to have a child, and actress Lindsay Law, who just lost the Oscar for best actress, and is determined to win one. When a former employee dies, the two women, along with Gabby, who runs the resort, get together to try and find out what is going on. More women have vanished, and they think it has something to do with Mara. It leads to a shocking discovery, and they find their lives in danger. A well-written mystery, with a supernatural element to it, and three strong women, determined to find the truth and get what they want in life. A perfect summer beach read.
