After the events of the first book. Detective Ally Dawson has been told no more time travel. When a woman comes to her asking for help after her son died, he jumped off a house, thinking he could fly. He was told about this by a psychic, Barry Power. Ally tells her he can’t be held liable. She goes and visits him anyway and is startled when he mentions Lady Serafina, who is stuck in 1850. When her cat, Teddy, goes missing, she tries to go back to the last time she saw him, and is transported back to Lady Serafina, where she meets Powers, and rekindles her affair with Templeton. In the present time, two deaths take place, both are similar in nature, and Ally wonders if she will be able to get back to her own time, or if she will survive in this time. This is a good follow-up to the first novel in the series. It’s another fun time-travel adventure with these characters we came to love and care for in the first novel.
