Ruby, who is an accountant, works with her boyfriend, Connor, at his father’s firm. It’s her 35th birthday, and she is out with her twin brother, Ryan, his best friend Penn, her best friend Bridget, and her boyfriend Connor. Bridget reminds Ruby of the game they used to play as kids, MASH, when she was 13. Her expectations were that she would live in a mansion with two pools, drive a tye dyer Jeep, own 13 fish, open a roller-rink restaurant, and be with Penn as her boyfriend (a man she doesn’t like). When she wakes up the next morning, she is living that life, and has no idea how or why. Ruby is determined to get back to her life in the real world, but soon finds things in this world are not so bad, even if it means falling for Penn. Will she be able to return to her own world as a different person, or be stuck in this world forever? A fun, different rom-com with interesting characters and a story you get invested in reading. A perfect summer beach read.
