Jake Bendel’s plane has been delayed, so he took a train, and then got a call to report to Washington, where he finds out the plane he was supposed to be on was blown up. Another plane containing the President is blown up, and he is killed. A massive plot is underway to take down the United States, led by Tracy Ciaccella, the leader of a global cabal. She also claims to have a connection to Jake; she claims she is related to him. Jake is charged with helping to figure out what this plot is and to try and stop it. On top of that, the Chinese are in one ocean, and the Russians in another, waiting to strike. Jake also learns that his wife, who died five years ago, may still be alive and is being held by Tracy. As the time is clicking down, Jake comes up with a plan that may stop the attacks, and it’s a plan that needs to be timed right to the very second and launched. This is the third novel in the series, and it’s an action thriller that you will not want to put down. Jake Bendel is a badass, and this novel is right up there with novels by Brad Thor, Mark Greaney, and Lee Child.
