Ramona WIlder was a child star and then became a pop star. She has been doing it for a long time, with hit records and sold-out tours. Now she is done at 26, and has announced she is retired. She decides to go back to school at UCLA. Nick Navarro, who is 36, is a professor at the college, with a PHD and close to tenure. Ramona ends up in his class, and they don’t get along at first, but things change. They grow close and start a secret affair, which could be a big problem for Nick if it is found out. When a photo leaks of them at a basketball game, he is warned by his Dean. That doesn’t stop them; they have hot sex and fall for each other. Now they have to figure out where their relationship will go, with Nick possibly losing his teaching job. This is another well-written rom-com, with two people getting over their pasts and hurts and falling for each other, when they know they shouldn’t. You root for these two to be together. A perfect summer beach read.
