Fin Hightower is off to Texas for the wedding of one of his best friends and cousin, Elaine, where he will also be with his other best friend, Jacque. Fin, who is gay, recently got engaged to his boyfriend, Mark, who is unable to attend the wedding with him. The wedding is a venue, and the whole weekend is planned with activities. When Fin gets there, he meets David and Todd, a gay married couple, and Marina, who is a lesbian. As the weekend goes along, Fin isn’t sure how he feels about getting married, one couple breaks up, a hookup takes place, a massive fight takes place while tubbing on the lake, and Fin gets a few pleasant surprises. This is the wedding of the year, and everyone is invited, no present required. A fun, character-driven novel, and one of the best books of the year! A perfect summer beach read.
