Charlie has gotten into the all-boys school, Valentine Academy, and has requested a single room. He ends up in a double with Jasper Grimes and worries he will know who he is, he used to be a girl. He’s the boy who broke his heart two years ago before he transitioned. Jason is a stud on campus and wants to be good friends with Charlie, and wants to know everything about him. Charlie is working hard to keep up with all the requirements of school, getting a good grade average, and keeping his secret. When he finally reveals his secrets to Jasper and others, he is shocked at their reactions, and he helps the school make changes to how they do things. A cute, fun novel that is fun to read. Following Charlie on his journey is heartwarming to read and you root for him along the way.
