Noelle Lewis, 27, is determined to fix her life. That means going back to college to finish her degree. She has two jobs, one at a bookstore, and the other as a bridesmaid for hire. When she loses her job at the bookstore and the wedding season slows down, she gets a new job offer. Jeremiah Smith II wants her to be his pretend girlfriend for a weekend. He is the heir to the family bakeshop business, and he feels bad about a fight he had with his late grandfather on the night that he died. He has decided to branch out on his own and has no time for romance. He wants to show his mother that he is happy, and Noelle fills the bills, which ends up being a series of weekends over the summer. Well we know how these things go, and soon they’re hitting the sheets and falling for each other. Is this something that can last long-term? They both have to figure out what it is they truly want. This is another fun rom-com following along as these two fall in love. The pretend-to-date story has been done to death over the years, but author Kristina Forest keeps it fresh here. A perfect summer beach read.
