It’s time for a celebration for medical examiner Claire Washburn and Cindy, Yuki, and Lindsay, along with their husbands and friends, are all there. A strange man shows up wanting to talk to Cindy, who is a reporter, about his missing daughter and other missing girls. Soon, Lindsay is on the case of missing girls, and dead girls are showing up; they all have in common that they’re beautiful. She suspects the women are being taken for sex trafficking. We follow along with a man who approaches these women, offering them jobs that pay well, and ends up killing some of them. Lindsay soon joins with a French man from Interpol, and they’re close to cracking the case, when shots ring out, and someone is hurt. When Lindsay finally gets the break she needs, it’s a race against time to get to the bad guys. In a different story, Yuki, who works for the district attorney’s office, is involved in a tough case, with a shocking end to it. This is the 26th book in the series, and it’s another good one. This is one of my favorite Patterson novel series. The four women are strong and don’t take any crap from anyone. The stories are well-written and easy to read. Fans will enjoy this one.
