Mebel Tanadi is married to Hank and has been for 40 years, and is 63. He suddenly announces he is leaving her for their 24-year-old private chef. She decides that she is going to learn to cook, in an attempt to win him back. She applies to culinary school in Paris, and packs up her stuff and heads there. Only it turns out that she applied to a different branch in a small town outside of Oxford in England. When she gets there, she finds the students are all young, has some of her stuff stolen, and considers just going back home, but decides to stay. She ends up finding out a lot about herself, mentors younger students, and tries to figure out what she will do with the rest of her life, and if she would take Hank back if he came back. Another great novel that only author Sutanto could write. She never disappoints in her novels, and watching Mebel try to reinvent her life is heartwarming and will put a smile on your face. This one is not to be missed.
