The setting of the novel is a small coastal town, Cloverhill Lakes, in Connecticut. It’s the annual Labor Day party, and they are out of ice, and a neighbor borrows Reagan’s car to get some, and it blows up. We soon follow along with Reagan, who is still grieving the death of her husband Jack, Andi, who is dealing with a divorce, and Sasha, who has a mysterious past. As the days go along, we learn all their shocking secrets, and there are a lot of them; you need a scorecard to keep up. Someone dies, someone might not be dead, someone thinks they killed someone, and it all leads to a stunning reveal that ties up all the stories. This is another incredible novel from author Glass, who never disappoints with her books. The tension ramps up the more you read, and this is one you will not want to put down.
