Gracie Holland is a wedding planner at Larkwood, an estate, in Rhode Island, and she lives in the guest house of the big mansion, owned by Agatha, a fun loving Grandmother, who doesn’t take life too seriously. Jude Larkwood is Agatha’s good-looking attorney, whom she wants to fix up with Gracie, but she dies before she has the chance to do it. They finally meet at the funeral, and there’s an instant dislike from Gracie when she learns that he is selling the estate, and she will have to move, until she learns Agatha left it to her, which derails Jude’s plans. He offers to buy it from her, and she says no. She then makes him a deal, let her do one more wedding, and see how much it is to see two people so happy, hoping to change his mind. They spend a lot of time together, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. They both have emotional issues, and soon they fall into bed and have hot sex, and fall in love, until she feels she can’t trust him. He makes a grand gesture, with a little help from Agatha, and it may just work out for them both. This is one awesome rom-com. You follow these two and root for them to be happy with each other. The supporting cast of best friends also adds a lot to the story. A perfect summer beach read.
