Lillian lives in Boston, works in marketing, has one close friend, and has been dating Henry for months. Due to his schedule, they don’t see each other that much, but when they do, they always have sex. She is determined to lock him down and make him fall in love with her. She’s blindsided when he suddenly dumps her, and is determined to get him back, which isn’t happening. She vows revenge and gets a hex from a witch, which will stop him from being with anyone else. When he is murdered that night, Lillian becomes the prime suspect based on a text she sent him. She soon learns he has been in a long-term relationship with another woman, and vows to make herself the grieving girlfriend, and clear her name, in the process of doing this, she might just ruin her own life for good. This is the debut novel from author King, and it’s a good one. Watching Lillian go through the ups and downs of this relationship, and the need to keep her name clear, is spellbinding. With some well-placed twists, this is one you will not want to miss.
