Lu Barlow, who is 48, is married to Harry and has an eight-year-old son. They live in Brooklyn until he gets a new job, and they move to Partridge Hollow, New Jersey, a wealthy suburb, with a bunch of stuck-up women, whom she learns all have secrets. What nobody knows is that Lu has a secret job for a shady outlet called Atlas; she steals things and has been doing it since she was a teenager. She wants out now, but they will not let her. She soon learns it was Atlas that got her husband the job and set up the move. She also learns her next job, and hopefully last job, is to steal a secret program that her husband is working on at his job. It’s a fun novel, with a great lead character in Lu and fun supporting characters, including her smart son. Readers will enjoy this one.
