Scout Porter works for BuzzCorp, a sex-toy company, as the head engineer. She has helped develop new sex toys, and has seen it all. She also has no life. Her one attempt at a relationship went horribly wrong, and she has vowed never to let herself be hurt again. Then along came her co-worker, Hudson Bailey, who is on board for a short contract with the company. He knows nothing about sex toys and asks her to teach him how they work. She agrees to it, not in a physical way, but in a teaching way. When he learns she’s still a virgin, he offers to help her lost it, and she agrees. It will be a one-time thing, and they will not tell anyone. She enjoys it so much, they decide to continue on a friends with benefits deal, and she is now teaching and showing him how to use the sex toys. Soon they fall for each other, after having many crazy sexual experiences, and when a work problem comes up, she blames him for taking her attention away from her job and dumps him, and it could be the end of something great for the two of them. This is a great, steamy rom-com. Watching these two start their relationship, following along with their graphic sexual exploits, and falling in love, is both heartwarming and fun. This is one of the best novels of the year.
