Dez Limerick, who in a previous life was known as a gatekeeper, someone WHO get in anywhere, and a tough guy. You do not want to mess with him. He’s currently in New York, working in a kitchen as a cook, and having a casual relationship with the chef. He gets a call from the state department needing his help. In Newfoundland, a scientific research center has gone dark with no explanation. Dez learns that a close friend of his is inside the center as well. He is part of a crew going to investigate what’s going on. Also part of the crew is Ash, a female assassin that Dez had a run-in with months ago, and she has changed her look, so at first, Dez has no idea it is her. They also learn that there are Russians in the center, and a team of assassins are also on there tail for some reason. With the weather bad, a limited number of people on the mission, and backup hours away, it will take everything Dex has in his arsenal to defeat the bad buys. If I were placing odds on this, I would bet my house on Dex. This is the fourth book in the series, and it’s another great novel. This is now officially one of my favorite series, and Dez one of my favorite characters. Author James Bryne keeps topping himself with each one of these novels.
