Ward and his filmmaker wife Tenn have two children and live in North Carolina. When he gets a great new job with a big raise, they move to upstate New York and buy an old house, that needs work. From the moment they move in, strange things start to happen in the house, and to her family. They find a creepy doll in the yard that keeps vanishing, water faucets keep running, getting stuck in the attic, Ward repeating things over and over, the kids being scared and seeing ghosts. Tenn has had enough and decides to try and figure out what is going on, and it seems to point to her. When she is away, things seem to be fine, and now she has to figure out what exactly is happening before it is too late for her and her family. This is an intense, scary thriller that starts off strong and doesn’t let up. Fans of horror novels will enjoy this one.
