The novel takes place over 25 days, December 1st to December 24th, and is told by each character in rotating chapters. Adam Gray books a week-long vacation in a remote mountain cabin, hoping it will bring his family closer together. The cabin has animals for his two young girls to feed, is remote with no wi-fi or cell service. There’s a landline for emergencies. As each day goes by, strange things are happening. Someone has been leaving a mysterious Christmas stocking with things being left inside that make no sense. Some of the animals are being killed, and a mysterious man on a snowmobile has been spotted. When they try to leave, their car is dead, and the landline has been cut. They have no choice but to stay, and then they have to leave the cabin and try and walk down to the town to save their lives. Things take a dark, deadly turn, and the family has to fight off the man and fight for their lives. Thjs is a haunting, psychological thriller that has you on the edge of your seat. Not your typical Christmas feel-good novel.
