Polly Potter is unhappy with her life and has plans to change it. She lives with Chris and has been with him a long time, and she’s decided it’s time to leave him. She makes plans to be gone after the renewal wedding of his sister in five days. She’s also unhappy at work with her new boss, Jeremy, who’s a dick. When she finally snaps at him, she walks out of the job. The only happiness she has these days is the novel she’s writing with her character, Sabrina Anderson. When she finally leaves, she’s attacked and left for dead. At the hospital, on the Yorkshire Coast, she awakes not knowing who she is, she thinks she is Sabrina Anderson. She is taken in by a kind woman and starts working for her son, Teddy, who owns an Italian restaurant that is in trouble when a new Italian restaurant is opening right next door. She comes up with ideas to enhance his place, and the two become close. When she finally learns who she is, she heads back to her old life, not remembering everything about it, and it doesn’t feel right. She likes her new life and has to figure out what it is she truly wants. This is a well-written novel about one woman and her need to change her life for the better. Following along on her journey is heart-warming and will put a smile on your face once you finish the novel.
