Claire is shattered when she learns her daughter, Julia, is dead, and she spirals out of control and starts looking for answers. When she cleans out her room at university, Claire finds a box of love letters and starts reading them. From what she can gather reading them, the man was married, and that Julia was happy. Until she gets to the end of the stack of letters, and learns a shocking truth, and that this man was threatening her if she didn’t do something he wanted her to do. Claire then learns another shocking truth about who the man was, and it’s a shocking reveal of the killer. A solid psychological thriller that keeps you engaged throughout the novel.
