Gwen and Isabella used to be best friends and haven’t spoken in 15 years. After a weekend away with some girlfriends, she starts thinking about Isabella again and wants to be in contact with her. The problem is she can’t find her anywhere. She’s not on social media or on the web that she can find. She checks with her parents, her ex-boyfriend, ex-employer, and anyone else that might have known her, and finds out nothing. Everyone is quiet or cryptic about her and where she is now. When she gets a lead, she might be in Rome, she lies to her husband and takes off looking for her. When she finally learns the shocking truth about Isabella, she learns things about herself as well and makes a shocking discovery. The novel starts off strong and never lets up. You get invested in this search and can’t wait to find out what has happened to Isabella. With a strong supporting cast of characters, this is a fun read.
