Emma Blake was once the perfect student at Ridgemont Academy, and now she is not. Ever since her sister committed suicide, she has changed her perspective on the world. She feels it is in danger and she needs to make a difference. In class, she reads an essay about how in four days she’s going to light herself on fire. The school is concerned and calls her father, who doesn’t think anything is wrong with Emma. Then she makes some upsetting YouTube videos and once again the school reaches out to her father, who once again dismisses their fears. The school puts her under a watch and manages to escape, buys gasoline and puta her plan in motion, and the question is will she go through with it? This book is intense on two fronts grief and the worry about our planet and world. At times it can be tough to read, but it is right on topic with the worries of the world.
