Margot’s grandmother has died, and she has returned to clean out the house and put it on the market. While cleaning the attic, she finds eight cassette tapes, a secret letter and is curious as to what is on them. With no cassette player, she turns to Leo, her old love and heartbreak, and he agrees to help her as long as he can listen to them as well, and they may even find love again. When they start listening to them, they hear the voice of legendary actress Vivian Stone and hear her life story about her Hollywood career, her loves and losses, and how the old Hollywood studio system worked. When they get to the end of the tapes, she finds a phone number, and calls it, and what she finds changes her life. This is an awesome debut novel, one of the best I have ever read. One of the best books this summer and it’s not to be missed!
