Lucy lives in Dallas with her husband, who is away on a NASA mission for six months, her three kids, two dogs, various cats and her parents who live in the house behind where she lives. Her son Jack is a day away from graduating when she gets a call from the school. Jack has done something and is suspended from Graduation and all hell breaks loose because of it. Great lives in Germany with her husband Otto and both have good jobs. Otto is frustrated with his and gets an offer to go to Dallas for a year. Lucy and Greta decide to switch houses for the summer and both women experience changes because of this. Greta sees a different side of Otto and a situation with her job and Lucy has to deal with a secret from her past. Both women and their families will have their lives changed forever by this move. This is only the fifth novel by author Poeppel and it’s another winner. She writes heartwarming novels about family and love. Watching the two families adjust to new countries is at times hilarious, especially when Otto becomes a cowboy! A perfect summer beach read.
