Ruby Johnson, who is 22, used to be rich and lived in the mansions of the Upper West Side, in New York. Now she cleans them and watches the kids of the people that live there. When she sees one of the residents murder another, she grabs the gun and frames Dr. John Jackson, who she works for, as the culprit and he’s arrested. Eddie Flynn, an ex-con, now successful lawyer, is hired to defend John, not an easy task, since his fingerprints are on the gun. On top of that, a hit by dirty cops has been placed on him, so he has to watch his back at all turns. Along with his trusted partner Kate and his bodyguard Bloch (an awesome character), who also has been targeted, they have a lot on their plates. Eddie will use whatever he can to save John and his own life. This is the eighth novel in the series and it is awesome. These characters all rock and the story is fun to read. I will be back for more Eddie Flynn in the future.
