The year is 1817, in London, and Margaret Arden and her two sisters are under the control of their rich aunt, and they want her to marry a man in society, who has money of his own. She just wants to be a writer, and his written a novel, that has been rejected by Bridger Darrow, who will be at the wedding this weekend of her cousin, as will she. She decides to confront him and it doesn’t go well. When pages of her novel fly out of her room during a windstorm, he re-reads some of them and decides it’s actually good. They forge a new relationship, kiss and fall for each other, much to the chagrin of Margaret’s aunts. When a scandal erupts, Margaret and Bridger team up to solve it, and she’s forced by her aunt to give him up, which he decides won’t do and makes an effort to win her back. This is a fun rom-com, with a strong female lead character, and a romance between two people you root for. Fans of this genre will enjoy this one.
