Amanda Taylor has her heart broken on many occasions over the years and now keeps it guarded. She has her own business, works on many committees in town, and is devoted to her grandmother Birdie, who lives in a retirement village. Rafe Arredondo, is a firefighter/paramdeic, has a six-year-old son, Isaac, and is no stranger to heartache, he lost his wife three years ago to addiction. When they cross paths at the retirement home, Rafe’s grandfather lives there, and seems to have something going with Birdie, there’s an instant attraction between Amanda and Rafe, and Isaac takes to her as well. They end up spending time together, for one reason or another, and they fall for each other. Amanda has grown to love Isaac as well, and has to decide if she can open her heart one more time to love. This is another great novel from author RaeAnne Thayne, who never writes anything bad. You root for these two to be together, and be a family. This is a perfect holiday novel!
