A series of robberies in the small town where Agatha Raisin has people on edge, and she and her detective agency are hired to find out who’s responsible. The stakes are raised when a violent assault and a murder take place. Agatha is also getting strange death threat notes left for her, and she thinks it’s because of an old clock she has bought at an auction, that she soon learns has a lot more to it. Sick of not getting anywhere, she sets up a trap to catch the people responsible for the notes and the burglaries, to end this once and for all. I love this series, Agatha is a great character, and all the supporting, somewhat quirky characters, enhance the story every time. This is the 35th novel in the series, and it keeps getting better. Longtime fans of the series will enjoy this one.
