It’s Christmas time and usually Meg has all the family over for a big celebration, but not this year. Her sister-in-law Delaney, who is pregnant, and due to give birth very soon, is bedridden, until the baby is born. Her Grandmother also has a conference going on, for Presumed Innocent, a weekend event with lots of conferences and speakers, including Grandfather, Horace, Kevin and lots more, including Godfrey Norton, who is against the project and people that have been released. He causes issues, and is kicked out of the conference and hotel. Then the next morning he’s found dead behind the hen house, at Meg’s place. An investigation begins, and of course, Meg is helping out with it. When she figures out who the killer is it may be too late for her. The book ends on a cliffhanger, as Delaney goes into labor, and we have to wait until the next book to find out the baby’s sex. This is another fun novel in the series, number 36, and they keep getting better and better. Fans of the series, and new fans will enjoy this one.
