Sir Griffin de Beauford was cursed in the 1400s and turned into a stone knight, who could see, hear, think, and talk to people he met in their dreams. Emily Porter, who’s divorced, works at the Art Institute of Chicago, and has been assigned to clean up the stone, which the museum recently bought. Something seems off with it, and when she starts working on it, Griffin is smitten with her, and that night talks to her in her dreams. The next day he’s able to actually talk to her, and tells her his story, and with a kiss, he is freed, and they leave the museum, and she starts teaching him about life today. With the statue missing, the FBI is soon on the case, and looking for suspects. Griffin and Emily soon fall for each other, have hot sex, and then a misunderstanding, an arrest and a shocking finale, prove how much they truly love each other. This is an amazing, unique, sexy, fun, laugh-out-loud novel that you don’t want to put down. I have read a lot of rom-coms in the last few years and this is one of the best I’ve ever read. A big shout out to author Bryn Donovan for this novel. I would love to see this made into a movie with Chris Hemsworth as Sir Griffin. I can’t wait to see what she does for her next novel.
