Tasha Weaver is the wardrobe manager for the Eastbrook Playhouse, and they’re getting ready to do Annie Get Your Gun, with two Broadway stars, Kurt Mozer and Olivia Grace. Kurt becomes a diva, complaining about everything and decides to quit the play before it even opens, and then someone shoots him dead. Tasha decides to investigate the murder, with her crush Bruno, and the playhouse cat Hilly, and try and save the playhouse, which is having financial issues. When she gets to close, it could be curtains for her. This is a fun, small-town mystery, with a fun lead, a cat and an easy-to-read plot. This is the first novel in this new series and I can’t wait for the next one.
