Ava, Madison and Chelsea met at college and became best friends. They did everything together, shared secrets and made promises to always be there for each other. Then a betrayal broke their friendship. Now five years later, Ava is getting married at Lake Como and invites both girls to attend the wedding. Madison is torn as to what to do, she’s been having a rough time lately professionally, and decides she will go and try and put the past behind them. When they get together again, it feels like old times for a little bit, then the hurt of what happened sinks in. They soon discover they’re not the same women they were five years ago and that maybe they can put the past behind them and move forward as friends again. This is a well-written character-driven novel, that you get engaged with and hope that these three can work out their problems. An easy-to-read novel, and having Italy as part of the story works great here. Readers will enjoy this one.
