Dove Barkley is a professional hacker, getting hired to break into systems looking for anything vulnerable. On this night she’s off to meet her sister, Madison, for dinner, when she’s mistaken for her, and given a briefcase. Then shots ring out, a man is dead, and Dove is running for her life. She sees a man named Sam, who had interviewed her earlier in the day, and they take off on his motorcycle. Turns out his name is Mendez, he works for the CIA, and they’re tracking an arms dealer named Holt, who Madison, who also works for the CIA, has been embedded with. She has gone off the grid, Dove is asked to pretend to be her, in order to lure Holt out. They head for Prague, spend a lot of time together, fall for each other, get involved in dangerous situations, trying to find Holt, and for Dove, hopefully clear her sister’s name. This is the debut rom-com for author Smith, and it’s fantastic. It’s a fun story to follow, with some funny moments, and two characters you enjoy following along with.
