Army Vet John Reiff is on a bus, on a snowy, icy night in Minneapolis, when a terrible accident takes place, and the bus plunges into the water, and John is presumed dead. Now 22 years later a man is awoken in a research lab, hears voices, feels pain, and day after day starts to get better. He asks questions, but gets little answers. He’s having mysterious visions of things he shouldn’t know about, and is drawing pictures of them. Slowly we learn about how he is here and why, and it’s part of a bigger plan, and John knows this. With the help of one of the doctors, and an old friend, he’s able to escape, but the bad guys are after him, and it’s a matter of time before a showdown will take place. This is the first novel in this new series, and it’s great. You can add John to the list of kick-ass, action adventure characters like The Gray Man, Orphan X and James Bond. There are a lot more questions and adventures to be answered in future books, and I am looking forward to them.
