Hazel was married until her husband left her and took all their money. Her friend is letting her stay in the house she has on the market, and Hazel and her five foster dogs are living there, until Linc shows up, and they almost kill each other. He has bought the house to fix up and sell, and no one told Hazel. He’s letting her stay in the guest house, and they become friends, and spend time together with the dogs, who now love him. When there’s an issue with the AC in the guest house, they move back into the big house, and soon they start a sexual relationship, and neither knows where it is going. But he’s keeping a secret from her, he’s rich, but has been burned by women before after his money. When he’s ready to settle down with her, he tells her, and it causes an issue between them. Now the question is can they each put their emotional baggage behind them and be together? A really fun rom-com, with some very steamy scenes, and two characters you root for. Also for fans of dogs, they are the best supporting characters, while showing how great (and tough) it can be as an animal foster parent. Fans of these type of novels will love this one.
