Book Review: ‘The Turnbull Murders: A Historic Homes Mystery’ By R J Koreto

When movie star Nicky Tallon decides to buy a house and the island it is located on in New York Harbor, architect Wren Fontaine is hired to do the job, and her girlfriend Hadley is hired to be the onsite caterer. Nobody has live there in years, and the house and island have many secrets, including murders, and a captain and family that went missing. The house will also be used to film Nicky’s new movie, and there are many people who will be on the island. On their first visit, someone dies of a drug overdose, and no one is sure if it was murder or an accident. Then more attacks continue, and Wren and Hadley suddenly find themselves helping to investigate what really is going on, and what happened all those years ago at the house, and if it ties into what’s going on today. A solid, fun murder mystery, with two likeable lead female characters. Fans of who done its will enjoy this one.
