Lucy Young lives in London, is 26, has to live with three roommates in a shabby apartment, has in TV, where she got a promotion, but is basically a gopher, and is tired of bad first dates. When she stops in a shop, she finds a wishing machine, and thinks it will be fun to make a wish. She wants it all, to be in love, have a family, a good job, and not have to go through with all the bad parts..she wants the good part. The next morning she wakes up in a strange bed, with a husband named Sam, and two kids, Felix and Amy, and has no memory of them. The last thing she remembers is 16 years ago, and the wishing machine. As the days and weeks go by, she finds herself kind of liking this new life, learning about the good and the bad of over 16 years. When she finds the wishing machine again, she has a choice to make, stay her forever, or go back to her old life, with no memory of this one, or if it will even happen again. This is a heart-warming, fun novel, that will have you engaged throughout reading it, and asks, what would you do? Author Sophie Cousens has another hit on hands.
