Book Review: ‘The Secret: A Jack Reacher Novel’ By Lee And Andrew Child

This new Jack Reacher novel is a flashback story, taking place in 1992, some 30 years after what happened in India in 1969, during a secret project, when over 1000 people were killed, and it involved a group of seven (or eight). Each member of that team is being found dead, and made to look like suicides, thanks to the sisters Roberta and Veronica Sanson. Their father was somehow involved in what happened, and they’re looking for answers, and an eighth member, who no one will give up. A team is put together, which includes a young Jack Reacher to investigate what is going on, and to come up with answers as to who is doing the killing. When more people are turning up dead, Jack finally gets the lead he needs, and it leads to a showdown, and reveal of just what happened in 1989. Another solid novel in the series, and the flashback helps flesh out the Jack Reacher character we know today. Fans of this series will be happy with this one.
