Fifteen years ago, Silas Matherson left his aunt and uncle’s lodge in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and never looked back. Something tragic happened back then, Jessica (an ex-girlfriend) went missing on a hike he was on with his friends Danny and Meg, and he just left. Now the lodge has been left to him, and he returns with his two young sons, ages of 5 and 7. It’s a new beginning for them. Now his two boys have wondered off into the mountains, and are missing. He must rely on Danny, Meg, and the search and rescue to find his boys. It brings back the haunting memories of that awful summer, and we follow it along in flashbacks, and when a body is found, and a confession is made, their lives will never be the same again. An intense novel that hooks you in right away, and makes you want to keep reading. A solid debut novel.

You can pick up The Wild Between Us in stores on Tuesday, November 7th from Lake Union.
