Book Review: ‘Summer’s Gift: A Novel’ By Jennifer Ryan

When Summer Sutherland takes a DNA test, it will change her world. Sure, she comes from a rich family, and her future is secure. She’s never had a sense of worth with her family, not knowing her real father, even though her mother and grandfather have known who he is. When she gets the results, she goes looking for her father, and finds him and his whole family, the one she never had. Her two half-sisters are happy to meet her, but not everyone is. She tries to fit in, gets romantic with Cody, a business partner pf her father’s, and she fights to have the family she’s always wanted. An intense, character-written story, that hits all the right note, and keeps the reader engaged throughout. A perfect beach read.
