Danny Cole is a master thief, and he got caught six years ago in a sting to rip money off of a cartel by Andrew Walker, because he stopped to help a man who was hurt (he has a compassionate side). He opted to work his sentence as part of the California convicts firefighter program, which is much better than prison. He made friends and formed plans on how to put his firefighting knowledge to good use, to rob rich houses. Today he puts his plans in motion, and recruits the perfect people to help him. He just didn’t count on Andrew Walker becoming part of the LA arson squad, partnered with Walter Sharpe, who doesn’t take to his new partner at first. So in the middle of one of the biggest fires ever in the Los Angeles area, Danny’s plan has come together, he’s robbing houses, and Walker and Sharpe are right on his tail, as is the cartel. All set during a massive fire, that can take all their lives. A great end of summer thriller, that keeps you on the edge of your seat. All three leading characters are great, and you root for all of them, even Danny, who you should dislike. Hopefully there will be more adventures with these three.
You can pick up Malibu Burning in stores on Friday, September 1st.
