Ever since Lizzie was young, she wanted to own a gym. She’s the front desk manager now at a gym, working with her best friend James, whose parents own the gym, and look down at Lizzie. It’s time for Cara, James sister to get married, and since he’s been dumped by his boyfriend, and has no date, he begs Lizzie to go with him. She doesn’t want to, but finally agrees. She gets drunk the first night, and makes a fool out of herself. Hiding in the bathroom, she hears a woman crying, and finds out she’s unhappy in her relationship, and Lizzie tells her to end it if she is. Turns out she’s Cara, who Lizzie never met, and the wedding is called off. Now James is stuck with her, and gets Lizzie to become friends with her, and they hit it off. They soon fall for each other, but it seems too good to be true. And when truths are revealed at a family dinner, lives will never be the same. A great queer romance, with two characters you root for to be together, and throw in a dysfunctional family, on both sides, and you’ve got a great story.

You can pick up Love At First Set in stores on Tuesday, May 23rd from Avon.
